Tested Browsers: Google Chrome, IE7, IE 8b2, Firefox 3, Safari 3, Opera 9.6. IE6 is not compatible, and Opera is buggy on hover-definitions.

The Macro Library is a website designed by the University of California at Berkeley. It was designed with the intent of providing well researched and peer-reviewed synopses of macroevolutionary transitions to teachers, students, and publishers at the pre-college level. Thus, almost all work on this site is released under Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 United States License and users are free to modify and redistribute the work at their discretion. This license was chosen as to not hamper publication efforts in any way, but to require attribution in any published product.

We also encourage contribution to this site. If you wish to contribute, please visit our contribution page to test your page with markup, then submit it to us through that page. If we feel it is up to our standards, we will contact you to notify you of your work's inclusion in the site, and to request any images you may have used. Please note that anything you submit to us will fall under the licensing terms of the site.
